Ever wonder what a Real Estate Agent actually does all day long? Real estate might look like it’s all about showing homes and putting up “For Sale” signs, but there’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes.
Today, we thought we’d give you a quick peek into what a typical day looks like for us as REALTORS Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or just curious about the industry, it’s a great way to understand how we help our clients move forward with confidence.
We usually start our day reviewing the latest listings, checking for price changes, and looking at what’s gone under contract overnight. Staying on top of the market helps us keep our buyers informed and ensure our sellers are competitively positioned.
We also spend time reviewing client goals, preparing for upcoming showings for our buyers, writing offers, communicating with agents on the other side of the deal, and following up on active transactions, making sure deadlines are met and everything stays on track.
From there, we’re often out on the road meeting clients, attending inspections, or showing properties. We might meet with a seller to walk through staging recommendations or join a buyer for their second look at a potential home.
Throughout the day, we’re also communicating with lenders, attorneys, appraisers, and other agents to keep everything moving behind the scenes. And yes—negotiations often pop up unexpectedly, so being responsive and strategic is key (hence why we always have a backup phone charger).
Later in the day, we focus on marketing: updating listings, preparing social media content, and creating materials to help our clients’ homes stand out. We also follow up with prospective buyers and sellers, answer questions, and help people plan their next steps.
Evenings can include more showings (especially during the week and people get off work), catching up on emails, or finalizing contracts and documents. Real estate doesn’t always stick to a 9-to-5 schedule, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding.
Every day, our priority is making sure our clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the buying or selling process. Whether we’re reviewing comps, coordinating contractors, or advocating in a negotiation, we’re always working to make things smoother and more successful for you.
If you’re thinking about making a move, or just have questions about how things work, we’d love to chat.
