“The Rancho Cucamonga City Council on Wednesday, Oct. 2, approved a plan to annex 4,088 acres of county land into the northern portion of the city that could add 3,000 homes and increase the city’s population by at least 9,000 people”**


A few big developments near Azusa downtown and Metro station are being discussed and reviewed by the City Council. “The Orchard, a planned 31,566-square-foot combined retail and residential development that is slated to include a four-screen Laemmle Theatre, shops and 163 apartments at the southeast corner of Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard” was approved by the City Council* The second development that the City Council approved is a mixed-use development called The Avenue. The Citrus View is still waiting on approval.*


On October 4, construction for the Foothill Gold Line extension to Pomona began! “The Foothill Gold Line phase 2b will be a 12.3-mile light rail line extending from Glendora to Montclair. The extension will include six stations, one each in the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont, and Montclair. When extended to Montclair, the line will cross outside L.A. County into San Bernardino County.”^



Are you flying in and out of Ontario International Airport? Starting September 13, Uber will no longer pick up or drop off riders from the airport. You can still call a Lyft (or call a friend) for your ride.*


The proposal for LuxView Apartments, a 3 story, 328 unit luxury apartment complex, was approved by the Redlands Planning Commission. “To address traffic and safety concerns voiced by representatives of nearby schools, the developer agreed to upgrade a crosswalk by the schools, raising it and adding warning lights, to install several flashing speed limit signs, and to coordinate construction to minimize disruption to the school day.”****


You scream, we scream, we all scream for ice cream! “The Ice Cream Shop” opened in downtown Glendora serving Fosselman’s ice cream and sundaes at 180 N Glendora Ave Suite 101 right next to T Phillips.***
